I too was getting thrown off when people were saying the TP would increase drone
. I bought the TP anyway and it made it quieter (I could personally tell it was quieter) yet people still said it was louder inside the cabin 
At least it is somewhat scientifically proven wrong now

I had the Invidia N1 on my 06 350Z and it was a very nice build quality exhaust. It did drone though starting around 3K rmp's like stated in the videos. You can control it with the throttle, but if you do not like a lot of cabin noise and drone do not go with this exhaust.
