Default Invisible Mask

Following extensive research and direct comparisons on other cars, I decided to purchase a clear mask from one of the industry's leading suppliers (Invisimask). I ordered and promptly received kits for the front bumper, front fenders, hood and mirrors. The order also included a free installation kit and door edge guards. After studying the company's website, written instructions, and DVD, I decided that rather than risk a lengthy and possibly poor installation that I'd take it to a pro shop. I inquired about a local dealer, again from the supplier and was directed to a friendly and highly professional installer. Unfortunately, the bumper cut was poor and failed to fit around the headlights, particularly around the medial curves upwards towards the hood - not even an especially radical curve. The other cuts were applied without major problems although a few small blemishes are visible to anyone who looks closely and from multiple angles. The installer has offered to redo the entire job using a different supplier and at no cost! I'm still waiting (been a few days) for the order to arrive, but in the mean time I've got a crappy film on my bumper that has peeled off in several areas. Finally, and after family ribbing, I pulled the bumper film off without any problems and without the need for heat application, parking in the sun, etc. At this time the hood and fender cuts are still on. Finally, I notified the company who had directed me to the local pro shop and described the problems with a poor cut for my 2006 S2000. No reply as yet and I'll probably not get one (unless this prompts one), and I didn't demand a refund nor rag on the product other than to say it was cut poorly. If a pro cannot apply a product from a company that recommended it, then how in the world can they expect a novice to get this on right? There is no doubt this product works for some vehicles and has even been cut accurately for the S2000, but errors do occur and any company should do the right thing by their customers. Do I want my $$ back? No, I'd rather see the company pay the pro shop to defray their cost to replace an inferior product.

Well here's the deal. I purchase the kit on the 25 of July and they have not sent me any email notification of the transaction or tracking numbers of any sort. I've just sent them an email requesting the status of my order. If they do not respond by tuesday then i'll contact them again to inform them that i've notified my credit card to cancel the order. No reason it should have taken this long anyways. I'm just hoping someone else chimes in with a positive experience from them to put me at ease.

Ray, where are planning on getting the replacement?

I placed an order in july for the front of the hood, front of the fenders, and mirror caps....2-3 weeks later after having been billed (almost immediately) and still without an email notification or an update whatsoever i cancelled....they don't have a phone number listed but if you have online banking look at your transaction and you'll most likel find the phone number on the transaction....it worked for me

reagarding paint protection kits, i'm gonna wait till next year when i get a shine auto asm replica or aerosync amuse r1 replica...then i'll just have a local do film job but custom (he'll slap the film and cut it himself)

screw invisible mask....and you know what they say...a bad experience is usually followed with the customer telling at least 10 people about it....looks like it's happening here but on an even bigger scale

ForNgoods -

The dealer is a M.A.R.S. (Miracle Appearance Reconditioning Specialist) dealership. HQ is Grand Prairie, TX. See: http://www.marsinternational.com. They seem to have an exclusive relationship that uses the 3M Expel clear bra. As soon as it arrives and gets installed I'll come back and post the results. From what I've read (about everything accessible on the web), all of the clear bras are about 8 mils thick and made from basically the same vinyl base. Some are reported to be more flexible than others, but the better ones have multilayer coatings with some sort of clear coat on the top. This is suppose to reduce fading and/or yellowing and an orange peel effect. I think the Invismask is a fine product, but it was cut wrong and the company has been unresponsive to me. Finally, the pro shop said that the Invimask could not be "stretched to fit." In other words, some cuts can be stretched a little around curves without warping or creating what they call "fingers." The Invimask I received was poorly cut and since it would not stretch around curves it lifted off big time. I did see a Corvette with Invismask on a relatively flat hood and it looked great, but getting it to mold around sharp curves may be another story. Good luck!

I have a spray on clear bra product on the S. It's been on for almost 2 years and so far works well. It's on the entire front end including the front spoiler. Google Armorcoat.
