its baaack... peeling paint!
I have it #3900 odd 2000 model. It's right at the very inside corner of the lights (both). I'm going to look a building a complaint system tomorrow so we can formally write down our complaints and include photos. Maybe they will respond to hundreds of pages of documented examples. We can forward the final document to AHM, the auto manufacturers assoc, FTC and Honda Japan and see what happens.
A stock letter would be a great help, I know there are lawyers among us. Just a form letter of sorts would do I would think.

Yes, I'm an attorney and these are the places I wrote the letter to:
American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
National Consumer Affairs
1919 Torrance Boulevard
Torrance, CA. 90501
(Honda rep. told me to wite a letter to Ca. and explain what happen and what I want to compensate me for the situation....remember Honda doesn't belive there is a problem with the bumper)
I also CC these people and the local dealership, body shop, and Honda rep.
Cc: Honda Motor Co. Ltd.
Mr. Hiroyuki Yoshino
President & CEO
2-1-1 Minami-Aoyama
Minato-Ku Tokyo 107
Japan
American Honda Motor Company, Inc.
Mr. Richard Colliver
Executive Vice President
P.O. Box 834070
Richardson, Texas 75083
My letter was more of a "story telling" letter stated the problem with a pissed off additude towards Honda for not resolving the problem. If poeple would like to read the letter I would be happy to PM to anyone or maybe post it on a thread.

I got the peeling paint as well - I showed my dealer soon after I noticed and we agreed that I would let it go until the warranty was close to expiring and then repaint it. That way they can take care of any nicks and dings as well.
I had a feeling it would probably just come back, however. I guess this is proof.
It is hard to see it on my car however - you actually have to be looking for it.

Great job cthree. Even thought I don't have the peeling paint problem, it's good to know that we can hopefully get some results with your approach. Honda should be wary of the angry internet crowd

Update-
Honda of America called me today and stated they "found" a bumper with the new design. My body shop person stated they (Honda) had him look at several new bumper to make sure it was the new desgn. So maybe Honda doesn't know of the new design or they are trying to cover it up!
No word on whether there is a new part number still looking into that and how Honda is going to settle my claim that the car value is depreciated because of the lose of the VIN sticker on the factory installed bumper????
I will be present when the bumpers are switched out and take several pictures of the difference in the "new design" bumper.
