Paint Finish on front bumper
Hi,
my black S2000 has what I consider to be a poor quality paint finish. The bumper is has numerous white marks that the dealer informs me are stone chips. I am of the opinion that they probably are as the result of stones, but I am a little concerned that the number of "chips" does appear to be excessive.
The paint is covered under the Honda warranty I believe. Has anyone got any ideas what I should do next, or should I just get the bumper re-sprayed?
Thanks

stone chips are a fact of life with this (or any other similar) car as it is rather low to the ground and often driven at a fair lick The rather slab sided bumper pretty much ensures that stone impacts will lose their energy in the paintwork with chipping inevitable. I even have managed to get them on the nose and front wings.
I had the bumper resprayed at Honda following my 'stonechip from hell' experience (thread of same name somewhere) for about

Finally had the bumpers looked at, had a full T cut and two coats of wax applied to the whole car by local valeted. It looks like new, money very well spent. The stone chips did not disappear, but they do not look so bad.
I did get a quote to have a respray of the bumpers, and this work will be done soon.
As many of you have quoted many hours of polishing and the great expense of cleaning products, I think I will leave the polishing to my valeter, he quotes
