Its killing me
Reasons for the seat bolts:
1. Fairly easy and quick to remove the seats.
2. Seats fit in other Honda products, e.g., Civics.
3. Seats cost more money than you can believe and reportedly only come in numerous pieces, which you dealer probably cannot turn into a seat properly.
4. People ignore alarms very often, both thieves and passersby. (I bought one anyway.)
5. Installing McGard bolts took me 15 minutes, so anyone handy can do it in less time. (You really do need a torque wrench though, IMO.)

I guess I must be the really old timer in this forum. I have been waiting , working and dreaming of a roadster for nearly 40 years now. I saw my first roadster when I was 12 - actually three roadsters - side by side - all MGB's. This month I put my name on the "list" at the local dealer and I hope to have anice new S2000 in the garage in a couple of months. It's nice to know that there are a few other dreamers out there.
Sweet, keep us updated! One question though, why a waiting list? These cars are readily available at all the dealerships in my area, and the further north you go, the easier it would be to buy one in my opinion?
Not in the outback of PA! The local dealers allocation is two - yes two copies of the S2000 per year. the next closest dealer is over 60 miles away and his allocation isn't any better. But that really isn't the real problem - I'm the problem - color choice - It just has to be NF Red! By the way, the Honda dealer I'm dealing with is EXCELLENT! - I have owned Honda cars now for twelve years. I just took delivery on a 2003 CR-V last month - the four wheel drive is kind of a must in the winter here. The service department at this dealership is top rate - has received presidential awards for service several years running.
