In the paris car show last autumn, on the honda stand was a lighter shade of silver s2000. I think they had it like that so that it matches the other hondas on the show, which were all the same color. It looked really flat and cheap IMO.

I forget that not everyone here owns one. My bad.
I haven't seen two many others in Alhambra.
I'll have to swing by OK cafe and see who I see.

silverstone metallic is not limited to the S. The 2001 NSX is also available.

pure conjecture on my part, but interesting that S2K and NSX are built at the same factory, offered in the same colors for the most part (silverstone, spa yellow, same white, same black, and same red). If I had to guess which blue it will come in, i would look to the blue offered here in the US on the NSX.

cool color (IMO) but i think blue leather is a bit too much.

finally, as an owner of a silverstone car, i am actually pretty happy that they are changing the silver. nearly every stook that i see in s. cal is silverstone (usually with black interior) or yellow. changing the colors just mixes it up a bit.

There's no question in my mind -- the last color choice should have been blue with beige interior, like the NSX.

I agree, that's the only combo that might have swayed me from my Silverstone/Black!

At the end of the day we've got a lot of gullible, vain, selfish people who are upset and talking badly about treacherous dealers. Sounds like everyone got their just desserts to me.
Well said Aus! Selfish bastards!

I, for one, am happy that they are spreading the joy in limited numbers. For those of you who are so insecure that you would deny others this pleasure, maybe you dont deserve the happiness this car brings. I have let everyone I know drive the S2000 if they wanted to because of how special this car is. No one has abused it and all have enjoyed it.
And for those of you who were guilible enough to believe the press when it announced the "two year run"...you obviously did not belive it could be as successful at the NSX eh? two years? HA!

Yet another one of the super bone-headed comments coming out of S2K owners (posers?) who have followed the automotive market for about all of five minutes.

Oh, and they have to do something about the relatively bad reviews it keeps getting...
What bad reviews? The only reviews I have seen that could be construed as 'bad' are the ones that are bag on the lack of torque, which is very true.

skitz: you got anything to back all this up, or do you want to head back to the Fiction section with your Jergens?
Read these. I know they are stupid and the reviewers suck but these are from sites that are very high-hitting review sites. It doesn't take a lot of brains to know what the critics complain about. The reviewers complain about things that this car wasn't intended to impress, such as no glass rear window, but Honda needs to address these issues if they want to sell more cars.

...occasionally jolting ride, intrusive noise levels and, on one of our two test cars, a surprising number of squeaks and rattles...

...Most buyers will be happier in the long run with a BMW Z3 2.3 or Mazda Miata, which offer similar sports-car fun with more finesse for the same or less money...

...Six-footers barely fit the cozy cockpit, which has a teensy main controls for a poor-sounding audio system and almost no storage space.
