it's snowing and very difficult to drive
Oh do I feel for those who drive their S in the snow! It surely must take a great deal of skill to say the least. Not to mention, decent snow tires and weight in the trunk.
Down here in South Florida, the weather was in the mid 70s today.
Aside from being overcast, it was beautiful top down driving.
If I once again live in an area that snows, I would either have the S as a play car or simply drive something else year round.
Good luck to all of you who have to put up with the slippery stuff.

Snow Tires perform more on design rather than compound so they do better at warmer weather than summer tires which rely on compound more than design.
"Snow tires would perform better at warm temps than summer tires will in a similar warm temperature."
If this is what you are saying, then I shall disagree. I know for a fact that during those warm days in early fall and late spring, when the roads are dry and clear, the car will wallow like a hippo in mud with the snow tires on trying to go around a high speed curve. With the SO2 tires on, that same curve at the same temps and the same dry, clear road, the car will be rock solid. The snow tires softer compound and softer tread and sidewall construction get steadily worse as the temps climb and they become very squirmy and exhibit tremendous flex. Add to this the tread that is designed to shed snow, thus presenting much less rubber contact patch, resulting in traction that is much reduced.
For the owner who plans to run his snow tires till they wear out, even if it means running them into the hot summer months, you had better think twice. At the very least, be prepared to drive during the summer at 6/10ths of what you are accustomed to with SO2s and also be prepared to burn off the snow tire tread extremely quickly if driven in the summer heat.
Man....
New S2000 owner posted his experience in snow. Granted, he should not drive it in snow without snow tires but man...can you guys be any more self righteous than this?
Some of you guys' comment is simply malicious. I am not going to mention names here but you know who you are. Stop it already. Give the guy a break. Glad that another owner did not get hurt or worse.
This supposedly is a community of enthusiasts yet some of these comments are just down right opposit to that idea. Unless when I paid membership I misread the term "Congregation of Snobs"
Please get off of your high horses. Stop passing judgements and condecending remarks towards fellow members. This is really starting to make me sick.
