I've almost had it.....
Yeah, I'll take a '70 Olds 442 W-30, in 4 speed please? I am not a big fan of new American cars, but that's my opinion....what do you care?
Hell....I could point you to some sportbike sites that would have you screaming for hours

That's it, elanderholm, you have convinced me, I'm going to sell my car, resign as president of the S2000 Club of America and buy a used Buick....
No....seriously, of course you are going to find a bias towards the S2000 here, it's an S2000 forum. I think it's wise to take what people think with a grain of salt, take it from their perspective and then make your own decisions to agree, disagree, not care, care or whatever...but don't let other people (my dad taught me this when I was about 14) make YOUR decisions.
Sure, people have opinions and beliefs. I have found this forum to be one of the most open and interesting forums for cars. In fact, I rarely go to other forums...mainly because of time, but also because I don't handle what I find on other boards very well.
The people here are cool, they like cars in general. They make, like I do, observations about other cars, about other drivers about things automotive and they are just that...opinions. It's an internet message forum about one car in particular, the S2000. It's not a holy grail, it's just a message forum.
But it DOES focus itself on the S2000, so naturally you will find that there are some who think the S2000 is the best handling (and it's up there with the best), fastest, most beautiful, blah blah blah....at the end of the day, it's you, it's got nothing to do with anyone else. The point, I think, of a forum like this is to share experiences and ideas about something that has to do with the S2000. It should be spoken with and taken with a grain of salt...
In my experiences with building an organization, planning events and meeting all these folks who have a similar passion for a particular car, all these things that you are talking about go away. Listen to people, let them say what they think and value their opinion, whatever it may be.
That's my advice, even though you didn't ask for it...
Gonna go drive now...

greg-
that may have been the most unbeleivable post I have read on this site. Basically what I was going for just more...perfect.
what I absolutely love about this site is that people obviously love their stook. Why else would somebody spend $100 plus on a gear shift nob.
What I hate about this site is that people think that the stook is the end al be all. Its not.... but you know what for what I can spend its,IMO, 100% better than every car in its class. Have you ever driven a boxster... the transmission is so second grade that when I drove it I was so utterly dissapointed that I would not have spent 10K less on that than I did on the stook. I mean really there is nothing there. It's almost like those side shift auto's ( which is awesome if you want a luxury car BTW).
But the point is is that there are cars (and makers- for your benefit el) that are way above and beyond the Honda stook- but for the class of $$ i have been treated like a king minus a few over sights by the designers.
XOXO
