Default japanese lic. plates

After looking at many photos of the s2k's in japan, I noticed that 1. they all have their front plates on, is this because their front lic. plate laws are much stricter or because they think it looks better? 2. they are all mounted so that the plate is angled towards the ground, again, is this for looks or is this just the way they fit over their?

ANyone?

No it's not angled ... Yes, plates are manatory front and back and you have a number code in the middle of the windscreen as well meaning something else. But those who modify their cars sometimes don't car about the front one. Oh well, cops in Japan are weak ...

Hah! I mean real weak, if you break the a traffic law like speeding in a really fast car ... All they do is follow you and asks you nicely to pull over, if you don't they just keep following you and asks you to pull over nicely until you either let him loose your tail or you be nice to the officer in return.

Most of my friends (3) there have oput their plates left front bumper, out of the airflow. It does angle down but that is just the contour of the car.

"tail or you be nice to the officer in return". By any chance are you are you a girl Takashi?

LOL

it seems the japanese plates carry a set of numbers with a letter attached......on top is the prefecture in which the car is registered.....also cars with disp. less than [i think] 900cc have a yellow plate..i suspect there's a lower lic fee .......i haven't seen too many cars without all the required equipment[ plates, mirrors etc..] however the speed laws seem to be roundly ignored [except for "hiway bus-u's..on the exressways]....the worst offenders seem to be the scooter guys..
