You're right, Dan-, I went to the J's website, and it didn't say anything about wind tunnel testing. It said they did track testing, though- using various configurations with the intake duct and bumper.

The reason I got thinking about it is because I have been designing a body kit for my Scion xA. I showed the design to a friend, and he asked if I had copyrighted it, and I said, "No, why bother?" It seems that anyone can copy any body kit anyway.

If you think the bumper looks like the J's S-type. It does. It also looks like the Weber Sports bumper, the new Z bumper, and like the bumper of a bunch of Can-Am race cars. I believe Porche has also used a similar design.

If you're sponsored by J's, wouldn't you tout the superiority of their product over Mugen's too?
wouldnt you have too? thats a no brainer if you ask mua
its quite clear that j's does take other peoples designs and makes a lil change and then makes them there own

This will be the last post on this thread.

I didnt even bother to read the responses since yesturday. No need to. Anyway the fact remains that the J's Racing hood is better than the Mugen hood. Again, I dont care if people believe me or not. Why should I care? That being said I will leave it at that. Some of you guys have IMO overpaid for a hood that quality wise is not upto the quality of a $1700 hood. Thats ok. Dont get mad over it. Take it with a grain of salt and move on. I was never talking about J's copying Mugen. Thats proof of how low some of you will have to go to prove a point. That means nothing in this thread. Absoluetly nothing. From this point on I will always consider the J's full CFRP Type V and CFRP/FRP better than the Mugen hood.
Have a nice day!
