to Jiffy Lube. I used to take my old vehicle there when I didn't have time to do it myself.

I, without a doubt would never take it to Jiffy Lube for any type of service EVER. Just to prove how horrible they are besides all the bad publicity they've gotten the past few months, we took my Mom's beetle in for an oil change, when it came time to get the next oil change the oil drain bolt was tightned so tight (and cross threaded btw) that it would not come out. So the morons at the jiffy lube caused us to have to buy a new oil pan & the labor just to get the next oil change (done by a real mechanic).

After that incident I do all my own oil changes for every vehicle at the house unless I don't have time, then I will bring it to Honda quick lube but I make sure I am standing there watching everything they do. I have not had a problem @ this particular dealer (well besides them attempting to wash my car when I explicitly told them not to. I managed to stop him from putting it through the auto-wash but I had chase him down like a mad man to prevent that from happening

so in other words: NO to even getting a simple oil change @ Jiffy Lube

NOOOOO!!!... I would never let a 17 year old kid work on my car. Especially if you are going to provide the oil and the filter, just take the 15-20 minutes out of your weekend to change it yourself. As long as you have a jack and a set of sockets you can change the oil. Your owner's manual outlines what you should do step by step as well as Xviper has written a DIY on the forum if it is your first time changing it. Really, its so easy and takes so little time that to pay someone else who can care less about your car to change it seems foolish to me.
