After much hard work for some of us, the Mingster has finally gotten the JR air filters out of hock and in his possesion! I assume they should perform like a K&N if not a touch better due to the radiused connection.

Do any of you expect that it will give any appreciable performance improvement over stock?

I believe it will improve performance because of the velocity stack type of connection configuration and less air restriction of the filter element. I am very pleased with it but have yet to drive the car with it.

Did it install as easily as smooth as it appears in the Mingster's photos?

Just as easily as stock. The connection needs to be snug so the filter will fit in the box correctly and the cover snaps work just a tad harder at bringing the top down is all. Really a "piece of cake"!
