What is significant is that Honda did NOT have the $299 lease special in May last year. I am sure that increased sales for 2006(that is why I bought one in May anyway). Even with this sales boost(which increased significantly over April '06) they still sold more S2K's in May 05.

The lease special continued through June and still Honda sold less cars than 05 when they did not have the special. Now the deal has been extended until September. It seems even with the 2006 year upgrades and a great lease deal they still aren't moving as well as Honda would like them too.

 

Look at the MONTHLY AVERAGES. It's the highest out of all the years even though the TOTAL SALES of the year are less. It tells me that it was proabably only available for a few months out of the model year and sold like hotcakes during those months. (And I'm sure many on this board paid over sticker to buy them...)

That was 1999. It obviously was not out the full year(<3500 sold). the avg was 850 units/mth so did very well for the months it was available. 2000 had to be a full year and still the total is very low and the monthly average is the lowest of any year on the list as well at 566 cars/mth. 2001 and 02 were the best years and then it dropped off to around 600-650 mth.
