Just bought an 00' tonight! Help!
What beautiful welcomes for the newbie.
It didn't take you long to get the ball rolling. Welcome aboard.
Take a peek at your radiator fins. I recommend something to prevent the bugs, stones, boulders, dogs, and birdies from either bending or plugging your radiator, or being sliced and diced to death.
Some of the sponsors have great stuff for that. I handcrafted my own.

Congrats! Many good ideas here. I'm not into performance mods, but I highly recommend Lucid's rear speakers. But the most important thing to spend money on first is some good wax/polsih. Go to Wash and Wax forum and look for some opinions on who makes good products. This will let you get intimate with the whole car, protect it, and give it the look that will make you proud!

I believe that the windblocker (or windscreen or whatever the thing is called) was an option in '00. You might want to consider one of those if the car didn't come with one. Muz (board sponsor) sells a one-piece, or you can buy the more expensive factory folding model and might want to consider upgrading that with a larger piece of plexiglas from Ricks2k.com(board sponsor).
Lucid Automotive (board sponsor) sells a wiring harness and pre-cut panels to mount a pair of speakers behind the seats. The stock radio has 4 channels, but only 2 are used, so the harness takes advantage of the two unused outputs.
I think both the windscreen and the rear speakers were great additions to my '00. Neither was a lot of money, and both enhanced my enjoyment of the car.

Sounds good the only bad thing about it is the previous owner didn't take care of the
plastic window. If you want to take care of the visibility i would search under retro-fit
i have done this and i love it!!

i know how excited you are in buying your car, and congrats but you must remember you bought one of the best vehicles on the market today. so mods come when you feel you need personal improvement somewhere. Whether you want more add on performance , sound, or looks . So take some time, enjoy , and take it one road at a time.
Theres no rush even though its soooo tempting.!

Congrats on your new S. If I may offer up some of my suggestions.
1) The car rocks, but the stereo system sucks eggs. Lucid rear speakers (go behind the seats).
2) 4.44 final gear. Nice addition to the performance with minimal impact on the drivetrain and engine.
3) Stop by Rick's. He's a sponsor, and he puts out some wonderful parts to customize your S and make it uniquely yours. My favorite has been his full height windscreen. It's nice to have the top down, but I don't want to look like Mr. T after every drive.
Beyond that, you have to look at 1) your budget, and 2) your priorities (forced induction? looks? electronics? keeping it naturally aspirated but improving performace? all of the above?).
