Is the "pinging" noise coming from somewhere under the car normal? Its not coming from the engine, but from the undercarraige (under the driver/passenger). Mainly notice it after turning the engine off while walking away from the car. It pings about every second or two, until it's cooled off.

it's most likely the Cat cooling off.

 

To cover your top when it's folded down to give it a cleaner look. I think only a handful of S2000 owners actually use it.

 

I second the cat cooling off theory.

My S and Integra both do it. Don't worry about it.

definitely the cat. mine even does it sometimes after driving hard when the car is still running.
