Talking Just bought a 2004 JDM

I am brand new member. I finally made the purchase. I just ordered a 2004 JDM V-type (I live in Tokyo).

It takes about 6 weeks to deliver. (in Japan, each car is made to order) so I should get it by the beginning of Sept.

I ordered Formula Red/Black Interior. Navigation Unit, and small ducktail rear spoiler (all manufacturer options)

As you all may know already, the engine for the 2004 model is still 2.0 liter.

anybody have questions about the JDM models, let me know.

Nice pick up. I really like the black cherry color they offer on the type-V. New Formula Red is nice too though. Nice touch with the navigation system. I had one on my last car and miss it.

yeah, the navigation is essential for driving in Japan. I also added the TV-tuner option, so when my wife is not too busy holding on for dear life, she can enjoy her favorite shows. As for myself, I will just be enjoying listening to sound of the engine reving!!

I am surprised they are still making 04's. Any word about the '05?

Mad props to you. Although if I still lived in Tokyo I would have probably bought a Spirit R instead. Unfortunately it doesn't have a top down function, but who cares.

As far as I know, the 05 is still scheduled, although, my local Honda dealer did not have any information about it.

As soon as I hear any news about the 05 JDM, i'll be sure to post it!!

you'd be surpised how difficult it is to get information out here.

I was trying to determine if I should wait for the FY05 (since it is already July). The dealer was very tight-lipped about the next model year.

I actually think that the dealer himself didn't really know. (or probably didn't care).

I think it is a big part of the Japanese culture.
