Default Just do it!!!! TSB 054

Picked up my car tonight after having the new TSB 054 done.

If you have any doubts about it, don't! The rattle is gone. I can't believe how much better the car sounds when decelerating. I'm no longer embarrassed to slow down at stoplights. The clutch feels slightly lighter and grabs closer to the floor (which I like). I also replaced (at my cost) the pressure plate and release bearing. After tearing the old clutch out, the dealer called and informed me that the flywheel had a few spots on it and asked if they should resurface it. I agreed and $ 40 later the flywheel was as good as new. So all together my cost was $ 421.73 ($229.12 for pressure plate, $ 102.77 for bearing, $ 17.38 for grease). A little much for 16k miles, but worth it in the long run.

They also replaced the driver's window regulator assembly for the not-so-auto-down problem (warranty item). Work's great now.

I must give praise to my dealer, Piedmont Honda in Anderson, SC. They were very professional in their work, easy to work with, and the work was done quickly. My car was kept inside at all times and only 3 miles were added to the odometer. The entire job took about 1 1/2 days.

Does your work order show any part numbers? I'm interested in the part number for the new window regulator assembly.

My car does not make the rattle noise yet and I'm glad you found a good dealership...my car got 3 miles getting the oil changed by the last bastard dealership I took it to. And they left the oil filter on lose so it leaked. Hmmm I wondor how they put 3 miles on it in a road test and didn't notice the dripping oil... Can I say test drive? I already yelled at them...still no refund - they just wanted to check the car over again...

Invoice shows part # 72252-S2A-A02 Regulator.

Also, it states that "bulletin 01-008 Loss of Ground" covers this and the repair is "Replaced window regulator assembly".

I'm still scared to leave my car at a shop.

I actually thought I had the rattling noise, but I actually have a very slight buzzing sound when decelerating that I kind of like. After reviewing what everyone said about the clutch TSB, I don't think I have the problem.

some people call it rattling, some buzzing...99% of the time, it's the same problem.
