I picked my car up tonight , all can say is what a difference.. You can actually here the motor.. The clutch seems to grab a bit lower.. It was raining tonight in Jersey, can't wait to see how it grabs on upper rpm shifts ....

I totally agree.

My clutch has been silent, and very well behaved since I had TSB-054/055 done in October 2000. The newer clutch does feel lighter and the take-up remains perfect. Also, except for pilot error, no more 1-2 grinds during last Summer's hot weather. Well worth it!

now, I wonder if the Spoon clutch, pressure plate and flywheel will also kill the buzzing or rattling noise off?

Yeah.. will replacing it with Spoon parts (clutch, flywheel) get rid of the noise? What exactly is rattling on the stock disk? The clutch plate?

jcoates1, don't know if you remember buy we met in March at the Atlanta club meeting. I just got my car then. Sounds like you had good luck with the TSB clutch fix. I might have pushed Honda to pay for more of that bill since it's a design flaw in the clutch. My clutch rattles/buzzes quite a bit and I'm waiting to do anything. I'll decide before warranty runs out.

Can I get TSB 54 done even though my clutch has no rattles and has given me no problems?

Probably not - unless the service dept has nothing better to do - but seriously, give it a few more miles and it will have the rattle (unless you baby the car and don't rev too high or unless the TSB was already done).

was wondering what dealership that was. i have to bring my s2000 in sometime soon and would like to avoid that dealership for i live in so cal also. if you dont want to post the dealership please PM me with that dealership
You have pm - but I have heard that the santa ana honda and weslow are both good. I have a friend that works at hardin in anaheim - going to check them out (see how many s2000 they have worked on). honda world in downey where I bought my car is excellent as well - but for now on, I'm going to change my own oil... I want to put the extra 3 mile on the car...
