Technically, Mustang is just a Ford, 350Z is just a Nissan, exc

Unless you own a Porsche, Ferrari, exc you know what Im saying

 

yeah, that can sort of be an upside if you're humble.

i'm 26, and people sometimes give me a look of jealousy/envy because i drive what appears to be such an expensive car, maybe thinking it's a Z4 or boxster. they think it's a miata sometimes too, but then they aren't as wierd about it. but the funny thing is, when they ask about it, i tell them its a honda, and suddenly everything becomes ok again--no more ill feelings. funny how that works...

i tell people it's a four-cylinder sometimes too, but they never know that it puts down more power than the 350 in my brother's old corvette. whatever--it is what it is. people that know cars like them, and people that don't generally show you their prejudices.

 

I had that happen to me last week. I was driving a friend of mine (a girl) to meet up with her bf cause we were driving somewhere together. Well... he just bought a used M3 E46, so her and her bf think it's the best thing that is made on this earth. So we're driving and in the short 2 mile drive, there were about 3 people that couldnt' stop staring at the car. So after we pass the 3rd person, she turns to me and goes... "What's the matter with these people?"... and then says the dreaded words... "It's just a Honda."

So I said... "Yeah it's just a Honda and I get those looks all the time. Does your bf get them?"

She didn't reply... hehe.

My friend has a brand new Slk 300

he allways says to me "its just a honda, you dont even have...." naming all the features. He cant comprehend that i wouldnt trade my Honda for his benz unless i could sell it haha.
But hes not a car guy, he's a prestige/image guy so gotta give him some slack

sure it's a nice car and it was kind of special in 00 BUT at the end of the day it's just a honda

we have a few people in New England that think it's some type of exotic car

 

because it is a honda.. just a honda or a honda.. its still a honda!! people aways dis what they cant have

i'm not dissing - but when you have neon's and colbolt ss eating s2000s all day long p - it's still just a honda

 

driving down the popular "strip" i guess you could call it over here, some dude decides to lean out the back passenger window of a truck and yell to me "my mom drives your car!"

umm..ok?

 

It's the engineering that separates us from them. Speed is one variable. handeling, style, braking, exterior/interior looks are other variables.

Put them all together and get a score, s2000 will rank higher then most cars and destroys the immediate competition in same price range.

 

Did I say destroys? I mean CCCRRUUSSHHHHhhHhhHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ahem..
