Actually is not "just a Honda" for someone who owns one. This car was made for very specific Type of person. Think about it no adjustability on the steering wheel, only manual transmision, convertible only, etc. Yes for the non believers the S is "just a Honda" but either way I am proud of my car and Honda for that matter

Being underestimated rules. Just like those times where a really cute girl ends up beating guys (or manly guys) in any type of competition.

On the subject of "It's just a 4 cylinder", I bet you don't see many people who talk about Evo's or WRX's/STI's that way.

All I know is when I first bought my car and starting getting used to it. I would actually say out loud "who is the guy that okayed this car" . I don't know who or whom said yes please make allot of these but I love that person or group of people. Let's face it how many car manufacturers(non exotics) would have made this car. And keep in mind they made it TEN years ago. It stomped everything in it's class when it first came out.

So okay its "just a Honda". But what a car company to actually make a car like this. When I get back from a nice Sunday afternoon drive and get out of the car and walk around it I say "Yaa, just a Honda" and I am just fine with that.

when i first got mine and sent a picture to my dad he flipped. "just a honda" calmed him down... i think he thought i sold my soul to buy it and it was going to destroy my wallet with maintenance. once he knew it was a honda, he was really excited about it.

What's wrong with "Just a Honda?" I wouldn't be offended by it b/c it brings a smile to my face everytime I drive it!

Honda is such a good car company, and they make IMO the most reliable and durable high hp sports car ever, and it's a love/hate thing with car enthusiasts. With competitive cars come competitive people. This kind of thing exists on every car forum, including this one. One car has what the other doesn't. I happen to admire the Z for it's muscle and heritage, and I'd never criticize it. It just wasn't for me.

Don't take offense to this, but to make a thread like this only means you are a lot like the guy in the Z. It would be nice if people would respect other sports cars, and feel confident enough with their own vehicle to be a true enthusiast and appreciate the great variety and uniqueness that's out there. Just my .02

Lol.

I didn't make this thread to say I don't like driving a Honda because of what others think. I love it and feel just as secure with myself as I did before I bought it over a year ago. I made it to start an off topic conversation to talk about other asshole car owners talking down to Hondas and for some reason it got moved to the s2000 talk section where everyone is thinking I was bitching. Just my .02 cents as well.
