Default Just installed Hardtop

First off, hardtop looks great on the car, removed all the softop components and now saved some weight and have some new cargo space. I have an 00 and that plastic top was making the car really look old. Was going to do the glass conv but decided to go this route.

But I had a quick question, on the passanger side, the top lines up perfectly, on the driver side, when you close the door, its off by a couple of mm compared to the passanger side.

IN the front, no wind noise at hall but by the driver side door, bottom right, Im getting a bit of windnoise, passanger side is fine.

When looking at the stripping and when the door is closed, there is actually a gap between the bottom part of the window and the top. Originally, there was a small gap on the top part of the window but i fixed that with removing the piece the weatherstripping for the top goes on and intalling some washers on the back piece to make it stick out more. This corrected the leak issue but Im still stuck with the wind noise.

Read some previous post on how some people stuffed some things behind the weather stripping for the bottom right piece of the driver side. I tried that and it did work, now im just have minimal noise but I was wondering first is there a better solution than that.

Second, can i adjust the top to sit lower down on the driver side so that i dont have that difference in gap between the drivers side and the passanger.

Again the passanger side fits perfectly and the rubber hits it perfectly.

By the way, tried adjusting it already with no luck, not sure if i can do some little mod to correct it.

Thanks

Did you get the instructions with the hardtop? They tell you how to adjust them. It is also in the Helms manual. Maybe someone has a scanned copy that they can post. Your local Honda dealer can print one out from the parts dept also.

I have the instructions but Im a bit confused. the side Catcher bolts on only in one place, so how can you adjust it. The front latches seem to be fine.

Thanks for any help

How would you adjust the hardtop vertically, would you need to adjust the part where the handle connects to and not the side catcher. If so, i would just need to vertically adjust it probably 2-4mm.

thanks

The adjustment is in the hard top behind the plastic trim. The bolt holes in that piece are slotted to allow movement. The instructions should explain to leave these loose at first and at what point to tighten them after measuring the gap between the top and the fender. They have measurements both with the catchers unlatched and latched.

ok so its not the side cather that moves its the piece thats connected to the Hardtop. I havent seen that one. I picked up this hardtop used from a local member so I thought it would fit perfectly, which its almost there.

Also, i have the instructions to adjust the top but read in another post that you only loosen the bottom two and not the top 3. Is this true, dont you need to loosen the top 3 to adjust it aswell.
