Default just installed new horns..

thanks to schatten for the faq!

instead of the fiam's or the hella air horns, i decided to go with a set of hella non-air horns. they look exactly like the oem audi/bmw/benz ones but red and MUCH louder.

ive had airhorns in the past and theyve always failed on me. the part that always fails is the compressor. other than that, i kinda dont like the sound of airhorns. theyre sound is definately unique, but it reminds me of a hooked up corolla w/ 13" daytons.

anyways, back to my horn install.

install was super easy and super clean. i removed the blue/red wire from the loom and ran it into the empty area in front of the passenger side wheel. i then mounted one horn to the headlight brace and the other i mounted to one of the various holes in the frame. no cutting, no drilling.

one word of advice that wasnt on the FAQ. REMEMBER TO SWAP OUT FUSE #20 UNDER THE HOOD (STOP FUSE) TO A 20A FUSE! i couldnt figure out where the fuse was for the horn so i didnt do it. it rained all day today and i noticed that my horns werent working. i didnt think of it much except that i knew that i couldnt use my horns until i figured out which fuse blew. couldnt find the horn fuse in the manual, so i kept driving..

just got back home a little while ago and did a search on horn fuse.. found out that it was connected to my STOP LIGHTS! ran downstairs into the garage and low and behold, MY STOP LIGHTS werent working!! i drove around ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT w/o stoplights!! so remember.. swap the fuse out!

i'll have pics later when i take the bumper off again.. stupid me forgot to include the styrofoam bumper brace thingie when reinstalling the bumper
