Default S2000 as a primary car?

Hi guys. I currently own a 93 MR2. I totally love the car and the mid-engine handling. I am looking to get a new car and sell my 2 around next year. I was considering the S2000 because well.... it's an engineering marvel. I have a lot of respect for the S2000 even though I am a devoted Toyota lover. Nothing else really has caught my eye other than the Celica GTS. I am tossed between a Celi and an S2000. Part of me says that I still want the 2 seater sports car like my 2, the other part of me says I want the practicality of the Celi GTS. (More Storage Space). How practical do you guys find the S2000 as your only primary car (if there are any of you out there with the S2k as your only car)? I only use it on the weekends since I work in Manhattan and take mass transit. Advice anyone??

Thanks guys.

Mine is my weekend car... I drive my 2001 Sporttrack truck to work, etc... I would say that in general (just my opinion) the stook isn't a great "daily" driver if your looking for comfort, quiet, soft and storage space.

Its a performance car, and as such, doesn't ride like a Mercades, and doesn't have the cargospace of a Navigator...

Depends on your needs I'de say... also, I worry about my stook alot around people, cuz they always wanna come look/play/touch it... I don't like that.

$.02,
Aaron

It doesn't snow much here in CA so the S2000 makes a perfect daily driver for me.

I wouldn't even consider the Celica, because you would be going FWD.

The stook is my daily driver. Only from time to time is it not convient, but I am willing to accept that. The only complaint that I have had so far is that I had to buy a new suitcase to fit in the trunk.

That was something that I was very willing to do!

Daily driver here. I would have more complaint if I didn't also have access to my girlfriend's Explorer to haul stuff. Try commuting on a sporty motorcycle for a year or so. The S2k is a luxury ride compared to that.

I love my S2000, but its not my daily driver. Its not very practical and when it snows, forget it. Unless you live in the sunbelt and have no dependents (the wee ones) there are better choices for daily drives than the S2000.

The 2000 is my daily driver, and I owned a '91 MR2 turbo in the past, so I know where you're coming from. This car is so much more fun to drive than the mister, I woulnd't want to go back. I miss the jet engine sound that turbo used to make (having the turbo 8 inches behind you gives a REALLLLY good sense of what it's doing, no need for a boost gauge). If you can handle the practicality of the '2, you can handle the S2K. The trunks are about the same size (the Honda's might be a bit bigger), and the interior is similar as well. You won't be missing anything!
