Angry Just picked up S2K and found problems..

Hello guys,

I just bought a 2006 Laguana blue S2000 with 26K miles on.. (3 months/ 3000miles warranty) and keeping my 07 civic coupe...!!

I felt great when I picked up the key...
But as soon as I started the engine, tried to slide down the windows...

NOT WORKING!

When I tried to adjust the side mirrors..

NOT WORKING!
(Yeah when I test drive, I only used back mirrors.. )

Does Honda never inspect their car before selling it??

I was so pissed but now I'm ok..by thinking if it was happening later on, I might not able to fix it for free...lol

Do you guys think it has been modded regarding electrical parts???
(It had a custom mp3 audio on it)..

Thanks!

You might want to check if it is just a blown fuse. It seems to be just a blown fuse IMO, but you might as well take advantage of the free warranty.

One thing I would like to add...Did you not inspect the car before purchasing? It seems pretty obvious to me at least to put the window down when inspecting a vehicle. IDK, could just be me though.

If you put the top down when you looked at it, . The windows go down automatically, if it worked than, I agree, check a fuse. Congrats on the purchase.

So you put the top down? That means the windows went down. It's gotta be a switch or a fuse if that's the case, but you can't say the dealer is at fault. I would always expect someone to be inspecting a used car in finer detail than a dealership would...they get a car in, give it a once over and put it up for sale. I went over every square inch of my car before I bought it and tested everything. Just sayin...

the windows have a lockout button check that it is in the open position, the mirrors also have a center lockout position check it too. If both are in the right position the wire in the door may be disconnected or a bad fuse. It would be very rare for that year of vehicle to have an electrical problem.

Let me clarify the issue.

1. When I put the top down, both windows are coming down.

2. In a situation where the top is not down + windows are all closed, if I try to open the passenger side's window, it is not coming down...

3. If I try to adjust the side mirrors using directional keys, it does not work..
(it only works in downward on passenger side's mirror only)

Thank you all for your kindness!

Who ever installed the MP3 deck might have done something funny. Don't bother with it. Take it back to the dealer and let them figure it out.

Flip the passenger lockout button on the driver's windowsill.
