Smile Just went to Autozone to read check engine

Went to autozone and they had a letter in the window saying a new California law prevents them from having the "free" diagnostic tool loan anymore.. (Started on monday) They do sell the scanners though.

CRAP! Now how the heck am I going to read this new code.. Got to call some shops by the house to see if they have one they can let me use.

I HATE THE MAN!!!

Some new California state law that just went into effect... The "man" only wants the "stealerships" or repair facilities to check the codes and work on the car and not us normal guys...

Well, I had the same issue a couple of moths ago.

Problem is, too many people start wrenching on their cars right there in the parking lot. NOT GOOD.

My AutoZone sold me a scanner, I went up the street to WaWa for gas, read my code, drove back to AZ and then returned the scanner.

Then I bought my own scanner.

100 for the cheaper one and 130 for the one that logs.
I was thinking of getting one since I run the E-manage Ultimate with my Greddy kit and that way I can monitor things a little more closely like water temp etc...
