Its probably because they are clearing codes right before emmission checks

Time for that snap-on Modis lol. I love Wyoming in this aspect, so if you head through Wyoming and get a CEL hit me up and I got a scanner for use

i seen some scanners that just pulls codes go for around 50$

That sounds more likely. Otherwise it's like passing a law which forbids someone from loaning out their crescent wrench.

hmmm... Doesnt make sense I just went and yea its not for free, I paid 250 dollars but i got all of the money back when i returned it within 3 days..

Pick up a Scangauge II from amazon.com. It will let you read and reset codes and also gives you real-time gas mileage, coolant temp, intake air temp, and tons of other stuff.

i got a scan on tuesday and it was FREEEEEEEEEEEE but i live in ny....yeah you californians can't have everything...you get good weather year round yeahhhh well no free scan for you...come back 2 years (seinfeld throwaback) heheheheheh
