If you are only doing a filter... try K&N...

K&N Air Filter for the Honda S2000 is Part Number E-2435.

Martel Brothers Performance sells them online. Here is the link:

It costs $45.03 + shipping.

You should also order the K&N Air Filter Cleaner and Filter Oil Kit Part Number KNN 99-5000. Here is the link:

I KNOW that the K&N filter is freer flowing than stock, and you can discover this for yourself. Just take a new stock filter and a new "oiled and prepared" K&N and blow with your mouth into the outlet of each. You can feel the air resistance on the stock element, and none on the K&N. I have no experience with the other brands of aftermarket filter elements discussed on this thread.

And "ditto" to the mpg. improvements with the K&N.

Thanks,
Richard

i just bought one and installed it. i noticed a little more throttle response and less bog when driven in warm weather. my mpg is about the same, i have driven less than 300 miles so far. i have the recharger kit already from another car so i have a lifetime filter now, something that will save me over $30.00 each time i need to replace the factory filter. it is worth it on that basis alone. i cannot see this decreasing mileage. there is really no noise difference with stock airbox, which i have.

As you engine is now "breathing freer" with the K&N, it may take a little while longer for your ECU to adjust itself in order for you to improve your gas mileage. There is a procedure xviper has described on a thread here somewhere to get the ECU to adjust itself immediately -- but it sounded like a "pita" so I just waited. The increased fuel economy cut in after a few tank-fulls.

Thanks,
Richard
