Default K&N intake

I removed the cover for my stock intake today and drove around but didn't notice much difference. I was hoping for a little more sound. How does the sound of the K&N compare to the stock intake with the cover removed? The car is bone stock.

I just removed the air box from around my stock style cone intake system & I was able to notice a difference in the old butt dyno. That is ofcourse only when it's about 30 degrees outside.

when you remove the lid, the car sounds the same until you are close to WOT.

Removed lid sounds better, but it loses power.
