Default Kartboy Shift Knob

The wife would like a Kartboy shift knob for her S but could not find the threads per inch so they can machine one. Does anyone know the spec?

The thread size is a 10 x 1.25mm. A friend of mine is the one with access to a lathe, but if you know the thread size and how deep you need to go, the process is pretty straightforward. The major problem was getting the knob chucked correctly in the lathe. The egg shape of the knob is pretty hard to chuck correctly. My friend says it would've been easier for him to make a new knob instead of rebore the old one, since on a new knob, he could've done the hole first, then the egg shape (you have to understand how a lathe works to understand that one). But, a new knob wouldn't have the gear pattern, so I needed to use the stock knob for the project.

The above is from a thread by DJQUBE. Does this help?

Rob: Shot off the specs to the Kartboy folks. He said he could make one up if he has the correct TPMM. Thanks for your info. Steve S.http://www.kartboy.com
