In five years, I have replaced the battery in my car more times (3) then the battery in my remotes (Never). I sure wish the one in my car lasted as long as the one in my remotes.

I suggest that indeed the car battery is dead. Unless you disconnected it. 7 months of the normal drain the radio etc take to keep the memories up is more than enough to drain the battery.

Sounds like a lesson learned. If you are going to store the machine I suggest getting a unit called a battery maintainer. It works fantastic on all stored machines. I keep and old van I use a couple times a year on it and the battery never gets low. Plus it can't overcharge or boil the water out.

I got mine at Walmart.

Good luck.

You guys were exactly right. I went to start it up yesterday to pull it in the garage, car battery was dead. I gave her a jump and the remote worked again. Now I know what to do next time I store the S. Thanks guys
