This kid needs an intervention
The road is not the place.
I bought a new competition tuned Morgan +4 in 1962. It didn't take long to realise it was much quicker around corners than the MGs & Triumph I had owned previously, & much quicker than I was. I could see it would only be a matter of time before I stuffed up, & wrecked the thing. I blueprinted the engine, & went of to the race track where there was no one coming the other way.
After a number of races my ability had caught up to the Morgan, & I had my first race at Bathurst, the premier circuit. I set a class lap record at that meeting. Interestingly my 1962 Morgan lap record was the same as the 1952 Formula 1 lap record, I was an assistant on the gate for that meeting.
A year later the Morgan was too slow, & I sold her to buy a Lotus F2, then a Brabham F2. By 68 I was driving a Formula 1 Brabham Repco for a top team, & won the Bathurst feature race in it. Didn't get the lap record though.
Don't do much these days, but I would love a few laps of Bathurst in the S2K, at a somewhat more moderate pace.

He's truly lucky to be alive...
I'm sure no one here will be surprised by this.
At least he didn't kill anyone while he was at it. Hopefully he will be uninsurable for a while and will be stuck with public transportation.

Public transportation is great. It isn’t a punishment.
