Totally cool with me.

If you read through my first post, you will see that this thread is supposed to be about the intake project, not about the PRM deal with Russ.

Please don't put words into my mouth. My words are here for all to read.

The answer is no, I don't think Russ makes a living by ripping people off. And I think you are out of line for suggesting this!

If you aren't suggesting he's ripping people off then what is the point of making this a public issue. Grow up dude, you aren't making any friends here.

Well, here's my final words on it. To Pete, I apologize for assuming what is "acceptable" to me for $80 should apply to others. As I stated, I wasn't even going to include the horn but figured the dents would be obscured "inside" of the canister once the horn was put into place. My mistake. Others who have sold items in here know it is difficult to determine the point at which one stops describing an item. I felt I described the canister very accurately. Pete knew he was getting one with Rubatex covering so it appears by removing it, he discovered scratches I was not aware of. In the end, we'll agree to disagree on the thread matter because I feel a public forum is NOT the place to discuss the preliminary issues of a buyer/seller transaction. If and only if it goes sour, should it be made public. Otherwise, reputations can be damaged simply by misunderstandings, lack of communications for a host of reasonable reasons (illness, out of town, etc). For instance, if I made public each time I hadn't received an item from a sponsor in a timely manner, everyone here would think I was the customer from hell. Pete, you say you didn't make any accusations but they are clearly implied during the course of your initial thread. How anyone else could think otherwise is beyond me. Would the purpose of the thread have changed had it's title been "look what I've done for $100." Afterall, you did write, "The canister is in great shape, no dents," so this all seems seems like a tension convention over the outside lip of a $5 horn.
Anyway, regardless of what's been said, it IS a nice-looking PRM. Well done!

On the contrary, I have been receiving PMs of support, with regard to this issue.

I would like to post one of my responses, because it is really how I feel:

The only thing that is bugging me is that Russ is F-ing up the thread about my nice work!

I couldn't care less about the deal with Russ. I just mentioned it because it is part of the story.

Thanks, Russ.

I would also like to apologize to you, if this info has damaged your reputation in any way. That was not my intent. I wasn't even upset enough to PM you about it. Like I said, I would have bought it anyway.

This story is supposed to be about what I went through with my PRM intake project, not about you, otherwise I would have included how helpful you were with providing info about the PRM intake.

Also, the PRM intake was a big hit at the show, and it wouldn't have been so, if I hadn't bought it from you.

I hope we can get back on track now.

Pete, I'm not one to harbor ill-will because in most cases, it is more harmful to be disagreeable than it is to disagree so I'm ok with this but I do encourage you to reconsider your position to make any future private sales problems you might encounter public at first attempt for resolvement. At least give a fellow owner a chance to make things right, especially if the circumstances come from misunderstandings or communication lapses. In my case, it was simply a matter of me applying my standards of acceptance to another. Not the wisest choice. I believe most owners in here would take back a product before leaving someone to fend for themselves. I know I would have. Just a thought. You can never take back that first salvo once it's been fired. Ask any high school teacher falsely accused of sexual misconduct. To a much smaller degree, I felt I had to speak up to protect my reputation within our small community.

Now, with this behind us, how about I get this sucker back on topic and encourage you to snake some plumbing up from that wheel well (drill out the brake duct of course) and stop the hose just short of the PRM horn. In the right conditions (at speed), it will make that PRM sing!

I just installed a new air filter and velocity stack.

I also got the canister painted Sebring, and clear coated.
