And I'd disagree, as the Koni/GC combo is awesome.
Can't disagree with what you said...it brings up a good question for JLude: what is your intent with the car?

For track, Chris, your set up is great and provides the flexibility you want. For most though, that level of flexibility is daunting and more than they need...plus, the cost of $120 to swap springs to experiment is not that cheap!

But the CG kit still does not address the one drawback the koni has...soft compression and no way to adjust without being re-valved.

So, my opinion (and that's all it is) would be to step up to a double adj shock if the goal is to have a "coilover".

JLude...should have read your post more carefully. Shocks won't appreciably change this characteristic. Bump steer is a known problem for the AP1. Try a Bump Steer Kit (BSK). Go Fast Labs in the Marketplace sells them...and there is a new one out made by Megan (check the Racing forum to read more).

Thanks guys, I'll look into this more. To answer negcamber's question: My intent for the car is a solid, street car with handling at the top of the list. I am not that concerned with making it sit lower. . . I'm more concerned with improving handling. I will not be running autoX and might only be on a track once a year with the car. I do enjoy driving agressively on curvy roads and although the car feels really good for a stock suspension I'm sure there is always room for improvement. Maybe an X brace and a bump steer kit are my first steps....

Thanks

- JL

I have the GC/Koni set up and I like it a lot. As stated above, it is stiffer than stock, but you can adjust some of that out for the street and back in for the track.
