Good to hear that things are coming along for your *ahem* expensive experience. I remember sitting there telling you that this part and that part wasn't going to cost that much. I seriously guessed only $8K total! But $22K - wow!

So when's the due date when she's coming home?

I hate insurance's. They take your money really quick but when it comes to actually using them, it's like getting blood from a rock I would guess at the total but you already told me so I won't ruin it I'm just glad they ordered the parts, now you just have to wait another month I hope the focus will make it for that long

GRAND TOTAL of $16, 139.01

Cresta, this is the NEW total, not the one I told you about when we talked a couple nights ago. And to be honest, the way I'm driving the Focus, I don't think it's gonna last another month. lol. Happy Valentines day!

WOW 16K Why does the price keep rising? Well at least the insurance is paying for it. I had on accident when I was in high school, my insurance guy called me to tell me after all the bills was paid that it cost around 20K. His words was I cost HIM 20K, I told him thats funny I don't recall you owning State Farm? He was just an ass, so I dropped him. Tell me when they start to fix your car, I'll go by and see if I can get some pics.

Cool...I was really happy to hear that they are moving forward with fixing it. It is a heartbreaking experience to wreck any car, but an S2000 at Laguna Seca...man, that really had to hurt.

When I totaled min over two years ago, the initial damage estimates were something like 15,000...but the final costs skyrocketed as they did greater teardown. I think it was close to 23k when all was said and done. That's why the estimates keep rising...because the more they take apart, typically, the more damage they find.

Glad you will be back on the road soon...and we'll see you in June...just remember to keep it on the track!

Damn, $16K to repair. That is pretty steep. What's the value of the repair have to be to consider it being totalled???

Good luck with the repairs. Sounds like you found a good dealership to do the repairs.
