Langka rock chip stuff
Has anybody used this? They advertise several different products - to get rid of light clearcoat (swirl mark) scratches, deeper scratches involving wet-sanding (risky...) and their rock chip fixer. Website is www.langka.com

I recommend the rock chip fixer from personal experience. It works like a charm, though you definately need to practice the technique. I haven't tried any of the other stuff. Typically I stick to the 3M stuff for scratch fixing.
3M Perfect-It Fine Cut Compound
3M Perfect-It Swirl Mark Remover for Dark Cars
Check out www.3m.com and go to the online store. It seems the Perfect-It line has been replaced with Perfect-It II, so the names have changed. You can still find the older stuff around, though, like at ProperAutoCare. Fine Cut is an abrasive compound, so only use it for deep scratches. Always try the less abrasive stuff first, then go compound, then work in reverse order again. 3m sells lots of other products as well, though most are intended for machine use, and I only have my hands. I've heard the Wax Shoppe products are comparable, so you can try there if you can't get a hold of the 3M stuff.

meguiars? what do they have to offer here? I can add this - i have their 3 step wax system - which is really just 3 X the work. 1st is cleaner, then polisher, then wax. Lots of elbow grease. i was working on my dads swirl mark INFESTED 95 miata m in merlot mica. Did the trunk with the 3 stepper, hood with old bottle of nu finish wax. i thought the trunk looked a little better, and some swirls were removed, but not all, and I spent over an hour on the trunk alone. To the touch, the trunk was better. I asked my GF and mom, and they thought there was no difference trunk vs hood.
Then i did the same to my 2003 suzuka. i could not tell any difference at all. Really, my car looks the same freshly washed or washed and waxed. Feels smoother, though.
