Default Larger Wind Deflector?

is there one available? i want to reduce the wind buffeting and i thought a taller deflector might help. i ride with the windows up most of the time but a little less buffeting would be great.

Both Rick's and Muz (sponsors here) sell a taller windscreen. rick's comes in 2 sizes (a full height and a 7/8 version) and installs in the OEM windscreen base. Muz's is a stand alone device that you sub for the OEM one. Go check 'em out.

I've got the Rick's full size and quite frankly, I think the 7/8th would have been good enough. I also found that drilling it full of holes controls the buffetting far better.

Well, here's my full size before the holes were drilled:

Just imagine the 7/8th about an inch shorter.

It's been a very long time since I got that and I don't know if it's still available but at one point, I believe it could be ordered like that.

Does the larger deflector make a noticable improvement over stock?

Yes, but .................................................. ..

It's a much more complicated thing than it seems. Have a read of these to see the whole story:
