LATCH RATTLE FIX.......DIY
No need to buy over-priced Honda foam, any foam will do. I just cut up one of those sidewall tire protectant applicator sponges, worked just as good.
My rattles didn't actually stop until I put a piece of foam inside of the clamshell latch. This maintained constant pressure on the two-halves of the clamshell so that it didn't rattle upon itself and the interior bar.
Just cut a square chunk of applicator sponge such that it is bit taller than the inside portion of the latch, when the top portion closes it keeps pressure on the latch and it will be rattle free. This was the most effective way of reducing rattles on my latches, pic below.
