Check www.speedzones.com for their latest field test results of the 2001 models. Passport 8500, Bel 980, and Valentine One came out "Best in Class". This is their 15th year of field tests and all the manufacturers were present but Valentine during tests. Take the time to read the on-line report, it's very informative. Answers questions concerning remotes (positive/negative), less costly models of same mfg, etc. Good stuff.
