Feathering the clutch at 6000 rpms is a good way to get the "burnt clutch" smell in your car for a few days.

If you insist on hard launches, drop the clutch all at once. Personally, I just say "no" to quick launches in my car.

why do you guys launch at such high rpm's. Is it faster? I can launch my S at 3000 with no bogging, is there something im missing?

 

When you get traction your vtec is already engaged.
