Default Licence Plates Insert in the grill. ?

I have positioned my license plate on the grill where it can be seen easily, 1100 miles and no problems with heating. About 7 inches of air space on each side. Anybody else doing it ?

I don't know where Foxhill is, but if it ever gets hot there and you are driving, I don't think it will help in keeping your engine cool. IMHO.

I think Fox Island is in Washington State. How hot can it possibly be in WA in winter/spring?

You mean that there isn't more than four people that read this thread that are interested where to put there front plate? The stock mount stinks and ruins the entire affect of a beautiful front end. Come on guys speak up !:

Do some searches, this has been discussed numerous times.. it is a poor idea in hot conditions, but you can get away with it in cooler climes.

I think the reason a lot of people don't respond is because we don't have front plates on. I know I removed my plate and bracket two weeks after I put it on. Our state requires front and back plates; however, it looks nasty and hurts the performance of the car. I hope I never get ticketed, but I'll take my chances.

I saw the coolest thing. Something was made kind of like yours.
The difference is: When the car is traveling bove 30 mph, the plate flips up into the grill and looks like it isn't there.
Do a search and you will find it, there are even directions on how to make it!

Barrett.
