well dont feel too bad. i just got a 5 pt ticket 2 wks ago with 7 points already on my lisc. 7 pts consist of 3 - 2pters, and 1 - 1 pter. all of which were not racing tickets as well.. just do what ya gotta do and get a lawyer. in MD, if u exceed 6 pts, they make u take a driving course of some sort which is not all that bad. Since this is your first time offending the suspended lisc, u will probably get off. Good Luck!

WHAT!!! i cant believe i am hearing this from you people!! All i hear is how you take your S to the limits and how you race other cars all the time.....and now you are telling me that i drive to fast because of my three tickets? If i explained all three tickets in detail maybe you would understand my perspective a litte, as for the cops which pulled me over only the first one was even close to being cool with me the other two were as rude as they come. And yes i do believe i was in the wrong place at the wrong time because they were speed traps and had i had a radar detector i doubt i would be in this mess.....

Seriously though i did not expect you to be insulting my driving skills and trying to say that i deserve what came to me....I know myself and my driving ablities and Yes i did learn from the experiences because now i am so damn afraid of Motntgomery county police that i dont even go 5 past the speed limit.

I didnt put this post up to be humiliated by the same people i have been praising all this time....thanks again, i expected to read stories and other such replies Not

"Seems to me that those tickets were suggestions to you that perhaps you were not paying sufficient attention to the posted speed limits. You apparently didn't adjust your behavior in response to those suggestions. So now you're getting a bit stronger suggestion.
That's not being in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Were you there KMCC?? were you the cop that pulled me over?? The take a seat...cause if you dont have something nice to say dont say it at all.

To think i actually looked forward to reading this post, now i just feel like shit, thanks guys (not sarcastic)

I feel for ya a lil cyman33. They are putting up like 7+ more Red light photo radar in my area. Speed limits in this area are on average 10mph lower then they should be IMO. Peeps in this area drive REALLY slow, like green light, count to 5 then go. My dad has got'n 2 tickets for less then 7 over, one of them was only 4 over!!!! They are discusing the possibility of seting them (photo-radar) to start mailing out speeding tickets. I posted a question asking about a liscense plate cover to keep me from get'n tickets in the mail........i got a few flames for asking....mind you...i have ZERO points, have never made a SINGLE insurance claim in 9years of driving. For what ever reason i think there are peeps that seem to like being the bully, I.E. If you cant afford this, then you prob dont deserve it, must be another rich kid, what did u expect to happen, etc.....What like we asked these questions so people can tell us how irresponsible/dumb we are....please like i ended up saying in my photo-radar post....Get of your high horse!....okies i feel better now Hope you get things worked out, get your S (if you can afford it, insurance is gonna be killer) and take it easy

Were you speeding when you got pulled over? If you were, then you have to deal with the consequences when you're caught. You can keep telling yourself that you're unlucky and pass the buck to someone else, but the bottom line is if you don't want to get a ticket the easiest thing to do is not speed. You asked for advice and the people have spoken. What were you expecting to get? A big hug and advice that maybe you should go faster so the cops can't catch you?

There's no need to be too harsh. When the insurance rates come, that will be a sufficient message to slow down.

For those of us who already own an S2000, you should know by now what a cop magnet they are already. People are getting pulled over for their stock HID's fer crissakes.

cyman33,
The reason people are getting on your case is because of your unwillingness to accept responsibility for your own actions. There are many of us who believe in personal responsibility and find it sorely lacking in todays society. It's not whether any of us have ever sped or done other illegal things. It's how we react when we get caught. Example - Three months after getting my S2K I went on a road trip. I got 2 tickets within 30 minutes of each other!!! I even showed the 2nd cop the first ticket hoping he'd take pity on me but he didn't. Was I speeding? Yeah. Was I pissed? Hell yeah. And I've had to live with it for the last three years in higher insurance rates. Since then I've been more judicious about when and where I speed. What I didn't do was come home, jump on the Internet and whine about the cops. Hopefully you'll learn something from this episode and grow as a person because of it. Of course, you may not realize it for 10+ years as many of us have probably done....

You guys are being to hard on him.....and some people do get caught in the wrong place at the wrong time...It just happens.

You don't have to tell him what he will learn because he is going through it and let him figure things out for himself, try to help him not tell him off or to grow up......

I say never grow up because when you do you become boring....live life like you are 21 every day and have fun!!!!!!!

and Cyman333, you will get your S and beable to drive it every day It is a great car and you will have fun soon.....

cyman33,

I guess I'll be a dissenter and say that I agree with you. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, only you know how it really is, and that's all that matters. Hopefully things will work out for the best. Do check out insurance on the S2000 first, though, 'cause it'll probably be ridiculous with that many points on your record. But there's ways around just about anything, and I'm sure you'll get your S2000. Maybe try to get a hookup or something for insurance, though.

Btw, which of the violations you listed was the five-pointer?

Oh, and try to be more alert while speeding.
