Hi everyone!

I've been lurking around this forum for a while... and now am finally a proud owner of a 2004 Suzuka! Just wanted to say hi to everyone. A big part of why I finally made the purchase is how everyone on S2KI seems to love their S so much!

I traded an Acura CL-S for the S... I have to say, in comparison, the S is loud! I can now understand the need for earplugs on long drives.

450 miles to go until VTEC land!

Welcome to ownership.

I see you already call it "The S" - nice.
I do that too.

...are you anywhere near Walnut Creek / Pleasant Hill?
I lived there for 3 years back in the mid 90's, and had a great time. Cheap Golf up there.

Anyway, just wait until the VTEC. You thought it was loud before.

Hehehe... Congrats on the new car. Plug in your vin number so that it says owner instead of enthusiast now.

"The S" is definitely a terminology I picked up from browsing S2KI forums too often.
I'm on the Penisula. It's been raining for the past two days, so I've been cruising with the top up the whole time. Maybe that's why the engine seems louder? I've been shifting at 4K RPM or so... 5K RPM is loud!

The CL-S was a great car. If it weren't for the nagging feeling I had that the transmission might be going soon, I probably would have kept it. It's good to go back to a car that is made in Japan.

The S is my first stick, and also my first RWD car. These two, plus the fact that it's been raining non-stop since I got it, makes for an "exhilirating" ownership experience so far. Lots of learning ahead!

welcome!!
interesting that you think our car is loud...
i changed the exhaust so i could really hear it-
and now i can feel it too!
(spugen dual ovals will do that)
and yes, the car's mechanical noises are louder with the top up (i am told since i have never had my top up!!)
