Default Looking to Buy s2000 in Cincinnatti area!!

Anyone know where I can find a good price on a S2000 in the Ohio/KY/Ind/wVA area? I would be willing to travel for the right price. I'm looking to get a white/red s2000 sometime this month (or later)!! I'm pretty sure I can get MSRP somewhere, but I'm looking for a dealer that may do better... thanks!!

Hi!

I purchased mine from Superior Honda. I got a great deal. Most other dealers in Cincinnati were charging 6-8K over MSRP.

I was there on Monday and I believe they have Red, Yellow, Black and Silver S2k.

Ask for Anne Marie and tell her Toby sent you.

I just got a quote at MSRP for a 01 model, white, which I have to wait to arrive, which is fine.. Got the quote from Performance Honda in Fairfield.. SKYS2K , what price did you get? For whatever reason, performance honda had a USED black s2000 with 7000 miles on the odo.. FOR $33600!! I asked why it was more than the new one, and she said "because some people don't want to wait"... whatever... got to TEST DRIVE IT though... my first s2000 test drive. I actually forgot about the red button... sales person "go ahead and push the red button".. DOH.. man I felt stupid.. It didn't seem to handle as quickly as a miata.. but the throws were shorter, and power seemed to be up to par as what I was expecting. Really cramped compared to my 99 prelude, but thats what I like. Rack up another scared salesperson! I guess a decreasing radius turn in 3rd gear vtec will do that to a soccer mom... Getting back into the prelude felt I was getting into a civic.. 10 mile test drive and I have to get used to the prelude again. It felt like I was sittin on top of the car looking down at the controls and rowing a boat. Ack.. I guess I have to get a s2000 now, because I can't drive my lude....

Cush Honda in San Diego had an 01 S2k with 9000 miles they were asking $36k for. (I got a new one for MSRP from a dealer in the LA area.)

I recently purchased a 01' from Century Honda for sticker. It's located in Mongtomery which is about within the 275 belt off I-71

I'd looked around at most other dealers and most wanted about $4-$6K over sticker.

Jeff Wyler actually had four on the lot when I stopped by, and with the price upcharge they wanted my guess is that they are still there.

I found carpoint to be useless, as they were linked up with a dealer who had a $2500 "Dealer Surcharge" included in their rock bottom price.

Good luck.

Have you tried Sam Swope Honda in Louisville KY? I purchased mine there in February for sticker. They should have come down a bit since then. At that time they where the only ones I could find for sticker. Ended up flying down there to pick it up.

Took good care of us and they made sure that NO ONE drove it once it was off the truck and didn't put dealership stickers on it.

I got MSRP + 2K for a '01 with all accessories installed from Superior - Cheaper than I could have bought online and I did not have to deal with installation.

The day I bought mine (July 3) I visited Performance. They had one a black one that still had the "plastic" on it. After speaking with the "internet salesman" to work a better price than what I got at Superior, I was very dissatisfied with the experience. They felt like they were doing me a favor by merely matching another dealier's price. Why should the customer not look for the best deal?? In addition, they refused to deal further with me once they found out I was going to shop around. I got the usual "this car is sold at 5 o'clock today if you don't take it now." Ok cool, I left there and drove straight to Superior to purchase one.

Incidentally, I was somewhat wary after my initial test drive at Superior. The dealer was encouraging me to VTEC it on I-75 with 30 miles on it.

Make sure you inquire about the mileage and the number of test drives. Probably not that big of a deal, but I hope no one drove your soon to be S2k like I did that demo...
