Default Looking at buying S2000 - Running Costs?

I am looking at buying an S2000, I have approximately 14k to spend, what sort of car can i get for that price? age? condition etc.

I would also appreciate some advise on the running costs - I do about 300 miles a week approximate fuel costs, service costs etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hate to ask the question but is that pounds or dollars? As far as costs go MPG is about 25-29 depending on how you drive. Set of 4 tires every 18K (about $700) miles. Just normal maintenance. Nothing special.

Yeah, 14K U.S. is going to get you an older, high-mileage basketcase if you can even find one. 24K U.S will give you some very nice choices. If it's been treated well and serviced properly, you shouldn't have too many surprises with one in that range. Good luck.

Just a thought, but if you haven't already, maybe post these questions in the UK forum. They've probably already done the currency conversions and such and have a better idea of what the market holds there for the amount you're spending.

If you can only spend 14000$ on an s-2000 and are worried about running costs you really may be getting in over your head.I'm not trying to be a dick, just being honest.

14,000 pounds, not USD. This equates to 24,336.19 USD.
