Looking for a Good Brake Set-up
I'm looking for a street pad that has a decent life and will work in the cold weather. I don't really care about squeaks. I drive thru NJ to Manhattan to Brooklyn a few times a week and my brakes start to fade a bit in the stop and go. I want more initial bite and quicker response more than anything. Please post up setups that YOU'VE USED and let me know about your experiences.
Thanks

I use:
Goodridge SS lines
Motul
Cobalt GT-S pads
They work great for autocross and Dragon runs. This will be an extreme set-up for Daily Driving.

dust noise and wear.
These are Auto-X pads so the warmup is very short. If I hit the brakes hard you will get thrown forward with a great deal of force. These are serious pads.
I've heard them be very very loud. I just put on my set with heaps of non squeal goo and so far they are quiet. But after a track day (on somebody else's car) these have been the loudest pads I have ever heard.

-Hawk HPS
-EBC Green/Red
Anyone try these out?

I have the Axxis Utlimates on my car now. I tried Hawk HP+ not the HP though. Our G35 had the EBC green.
Like i said though i didn't notice the intial grab going up.
The HAWK HPS pads need to warm up; the initial bite I found to be worse than OEM. Once warm they were pretty darn good. They ate my rotors however.
I forgot to mention that I am running Cobalt rotors with the Cobalt pads. Best initial bite I have experienced in an S2K, besides BBK.

synpower dot4 valvoline
stock disc
axxis ultimate
it's a good street combo, pretty consistant feel and braking.
the downside is that it's sqeal once a while and it's dirty as hell
i run those on all of my cars
