I put on Axxis Ultimates for the track days and they were great other than the crazy noise they started making. I didn't put any brake lube on them though. Swapping back to stock after track now.

Say what? I am forced to call BS on this. The OEM brakes are not going to fade in stop and go traffic. If you are having brake difficulties, it's not fade.

When was the last time you bled your brake lines?

That's what I was going to ask about. If there is brake fade in stop and go traffic, something is seriously wrong with your brake system.

My West Side Highway or FDR driving thru Brooklyn Bridge to 278 route is 0-90mph, brake to 25 mph, back up to 80-full stop etc. etc. for an hour and a half. I am getting fade- maybe its not my pads, but there is fade and my wheels get hot enough to burn your skin when I'm done. Brake fluid was changed about 6months ago. I dunno.

I guess stop and go was an inaccurate description- more like full gas, full brakes full gas, full brakes.

DOT 4 Valvoline I think. Nothing crazy, just off the shelf autoparts brake fluid

change you fluids first and inspect you pads. I use motul.

Make sure that you are using at least DOT4, given your driving habits.

Pads have about 8k miles on them. I know the fluid is DOT4. I'm going to try changing it tonight.
