Default looking for an intake

I bought my car with an AEM cold-air (not the v2) and i've been trying to trade with someone for a stock air box in the NY/NJ area but no success so far. My goal was to spend no money, but if I have to spend money I'd rather get a short-ram intake than the stocker.

I really don't want the cold-air cause this is my daily driver, and it's low, and yeah I just don't want any problems. So my question is, if I have to spend around $200...what short-ram is good? I like the Comptech ice box, and I know it's more than $200 but I like how it's boxed in and doesn't suck up hot air. Help me out.

You should be able to pick up a used K&N for under $200. Or just bite the bullet if you really want and buy it or comptech new. Keep checking the for sale forums.

PRM is definitely a good choice too, gets decent gains and looks better than AEM imo.
