No photo of the driver seat bolsters could mean they are beat too. Pretty sweet color combo, but definitely overpriced.

As far as necessary? I really hadn't thought about it.

I'm in the market for one now and have been looking for about a month. In my opinion the seller is nuts. I'm seeing 04 ' s with way less miles sell for what he's asking. I'm in NY so it may be different but I think it's worth maybe 15 witht the hardtop

s2k prices can vary quite a bit depending on condition and how it was kept. Im assuming he is asking this much due to the condition of the paint and the health of the motor. Since s2000's are one of a kind, you will see prices vary drastically. Whether you overpay, or get a great deal, you will enjoy it regardless. Forget the naysayers.

Is there a specific mileage amount that I should be looking for/staying away from? Like, anything under 100,000 = good, and anything above 100,000 = bad. I know, probably a silly question, but I gotta ask it anyway.

These motors are very reliable and should make it to 200K miles without major services needed. This, of course, still all depends on how well the owner maintains it and how hard he drives it. I would say, get a compression test and test drive it. VTEC usually pulls nicely if the motor is healthy.

That's pretty much what I thought. Nice to have it clarified

although his price may seem high, it looks to be a well kept single owner fairly stock s2000 with an oem hard top. Not sure how often you'll find something like this. if you're unable to keep it in this condition or have it in a garage I would simply look for a cheaper one, can easily find them for $14-$15k

I bought mine with 136k.

I'd rather have a car with high-ish mileage so I can put as many miles on it as I want & have zero remorse about it.

Though I have a daily, so those miles only accumulate on days with perfect weather.

Agreed, that car is overpriced. FWIW i found my car on ebay and pounced within hours of it posting. Keep the money ready and don't be afraid to look nationwide.
In your opinion how great are the risks of purchasing something so expensive sight unseen? I'm not against the idea, but it just seems a bit scary.
I was scared as i hadn't done anything like that before. Did some snooping and figured out the background of the seller after calling and getting some info about him. Put a deposit down on ebay and bought a cheap ticket. Worked out beautifully. I drove the car over 2 days to get back home and we bonded.
