Ah, if a warranty makes you feel warm and fuzzy its worth it to you. Buying a Honda w/20k miles....I would not worry about a warranty. Worse case if you are worried about the diff, buy a car privately and invest the savings into a reinforced diff....

Its your decision and if you are asking if thats a good deal from a dealer....id say its ok. Being its spring time maybe its even better.

Either way, no matter what if its exactly what you want sometimes paying a little more or not getting the best possible deal isnt a bad thing. Better than settling on maybe your 2nd choice and regretting it.

You're gonna go FI and void the warranty anyway

Let the economy drop more while gas prices shoot up, then they'll come down on it.

Play it up, tell the salesman you're not so sure with the gas prices and the economy, sound doubtful and see what they do.

Your best bet is to find a private party seller. Check Craigslist, Cars.com, and Autotrader.com. You can "interview" the owner on how they drove the car and get maintance records, etc. The warranty will make you feel good but when it comes time for them to honor it they'll claim driver error or misuse and deny the claim. At least that what I've heard on this forum.
I bought a really nice '04 S2000 18 months ago for 22.5k w/ 27k mi. on the clock from a private seller. I think you can find a better deal. Just look around and expand your search radius.
Offer them 21k out the door. If they don't go for it keep looking. My 2 cents.
