Default Loose Top!

Driving my car the other day, I noticed that there was this rattle coming from the passenger side top fastener. I pulled over to confirm that the fastner felt a little loose by grabing it and trying to shake/move it.

I should mention that I recently applied some 303 protectant on the top a couple of days ago. The car was under the sun a bit and I'm thinking that a combination of the 303 and the heat may have streched out the top?

Is there a way to make an adjustment to the top? It doesn't appear to be adjustable

I doubt that the sun or the 303 had anything to do with it. You probably need to visit your dealer and let him look at the fastner.

There is a MY00 upgrade on the striker plates. They went from aluminum to steel. Check with the dealer.

And here I though you might need silicone implants or something to make your top tighter.

^^^ Thanks for the comedy, however, I decided to apply some grease on the pegs (not the hooks) that insert into the striker plates and that seem to have solve the problem. At least I don't hear it being loose any more.

FSures: I do have the metal striker plates as I should, being that it's a MY2002.
